General Session 2: Things That Worry Me — and Things That Don’t — In the Global Economy

Monday, May 1, 2017 -
8:00am to 9:15am

Session type:

Uncertainty and risk are everywhere you look in the global economy, but some risk factors matter more than others. What are the events on the horizon that could truly impact global economic growth, and which risk factors are overblown?  Drawing from her “on the ground” global reporting, Financial Times Associate Editor Rana Foroohar analyzes and explains the things that worry her — across both geographies and sectors — and the things that don’t. She will discuss a number of topics, including the Chinese real estate market, Eurozone crisis, political dysfunction in Washington, divergence of growth in emerging markets, and patterns in the world economy that leaders and investors should paying attention to.
