Does the program offer continuing education (CE) credits?
Yes. To complete the program and earn 20 continuing education (CE) credits, you must score a 70% or better on each quiz. There is a quiz for each of the 20 content modules.
Why and when did IMCA decide to create this course?
Demand is high for behavioral finance knowledge (and strategies for how to apply it in practice) in the advisor community. In addition, recent job task analyses for CIMA® and CPWA® certification required IMCA to expand behavioral finance content in its certification programs, and this course provides complementary content. IMCA members have also expressed an appetite for behavioral finance: 85 percent of members surveyed this year indicated they would be “very” or “somewhat” interested in advanced topics in behavioral finance. Production of the program started in April, when IMCA’s board of directors greenlighted the course.

Congratulations on registering for IMCA’s Applied Behavioral Finance certificate program! Below please find several frequently asked questions and answers that will help you complete the program.
How do I know if my computer system is configured to access the program?
Please click here to perform a system check to ensure that your computer browser is properly configured.
What do I need to keep in mind while navigating through the program?
The program consists of four units and 20 modules. We recommend completing all modules in chronological order. While you may navigate from module to module non-sequentially within a unit without having passed the quiz, you may not proceed to the next unit without passing all the quizzes in the prior unit.
The quizzes primarily test your understanding of the material in the core education videos, exercises and readings. Deeper dive material can enhance your understanding and provide richer context, but are not primary materials for the quizzes.
If you’re having problems viewing the content, please consider using a browser other than Internet Explorer, which typically isn’t the most streaming-friendly browser. We recommend Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as less problematic browsers. If you’re watching on a mobile device or over a wireless connection, that can affect browsing speeds and the quality you experience. Corporate firewalls may interfere with stable access. If you transition to a wired connection outside a corporate network, you may have a better online experience.
How long do I have access to the program?
Once enrolled, you have access to the program materials for eleven (11) months.
