Does the CIMA certification process count for continuing education (CE) credit for other designations?

Yes. The CIMA education requirement provides CE credit for IMCA’s CIMC® and CPWA® certifications. Candidates may also report CE hours to the CFP Board of Standards upon completion of the in-person education requirement, on their own behalf. IMCA also is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
